The General Data Protection Regulations are bringing in new legal protection for your personal information from 25th May 2018.
We take the privacy of our customers’ information very seriously. This privacy document has been written to provide you with information about what personal data Daily Bread Co-operative (Cambridge) Ltd collects about you when you contact us, how we process your data and what your rights and choices are.
Customers contact Daily Bread Co-operative (Cambridge) Ltd in a variety of ways: by email, by telephone and by visiting the shop.
A majority of the enquiries that we receive from customers are to place orders for products that we sell or to make enquiries about products that we may be able to supply for them. In order to deal with these enquiries in the most efficient manner, we process the following data / information about you - your full name, email address and telephone number. In legal terms our legitimate reason for processing your data is in order to provide a service for you with your permission / consent. During the processing of customer data we may need to print out or write your contact details on paper. We can assure you that your personal data is not shared with anyone outside of Daily Bread Co-operative (Cambridge) Ltd and is processed only for the specific purpose that you have contacted us for. After we have processed your order or enquiry and you have collected your goods, we do not retain your personal data for any reason. At Daily Bread Co-operative (Cambridge) Ltd access to our computer and email services is password protected and is restricted to staff who have a legitimate reason for accessing them. It is also worth noting that we do not share your personal data with any third parties at any point during your contact with us. On our website we do use ‘cookies’ for analytical purposes to improve your browsing experience, but you are able to set your browser to not accept ‘cookies’ if you wish to.
As a company we are committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate technical, physical and managerial procedures in order to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you.
You have the right to have your data / information removed or erased at any point that you wish to by contacting us by email or in writing . However, if you are a business there may be a need to keep your information for the purposes of VAT.
In the event that we are requested by the police or any other regulatory government agency investigating any suspected illegal activity, we are under a legal obligation to provide your personal information to them.

The right to lodge a complaint with the ICO if you feel your details are not correct, if you feel they are not being used in a way that you have given permission for, or if you feel they are being stored when they do not have to be.
